Stain: Combine whiting with household bleach for persistent dirt stains. Together, they remove soil without harming the marble. For every square foot of marble, use approximately one pound whiting.

To remove smoke stains, make a paste of bakingsoda and liquidlaundry bleach. Pat this mixture to the inflamed area and wait for a few minutes before rinsing it off.

RUST: Mix some whiting with rust removal jelly to remove such stains. Add to the rusted area and let it sit for a few minutes until you start scrubbing.

Restoration Steps:

You can do it the same way, but you need to make sure that your surface is clean by washing it with some mild detergent and warm water.

Use the stain removal mixtures as above after cleaning and cover with cling film to stop it from drying too quickly. For better results, you can let them rest for 24 hours

From there it is recommended to properly rinse the area and towel dry if available.

Preventive Measures:

Spills should be wiped with a soft damp cloth at once so that liquid does not leave a mark.

For the restoration of any surface, finish everything with an optional sealant to prevent easy staining in future. Always test on an unseen area with any new product.
