Recruiting the Vault-Tec Rep
GOODNEIGHBOR (Hotel): Go to the Hotel, and speak with The Vault-Tec Rep. You can then find him and recruit him at a settlement. This means, naturally that the interaction also often includes a charisma check (in this case to successfully recruit you needed like 3 str of Charisma…). After you recruit him, he is able to be assigned in your settlements however there are a few details about this that i will explain.
Assigning to Settlements
You can assign him to be a 3rd level Trade Vendor after you recruit the Vault-Tec Rep. This action allows him to ascend his status into a level 4 vendor, along with the ability to sell special items that you cannot find on other normal vendors. But players have also come across a few bugs that prevent the Vault-Tec Rep from reacting to assignment commands. Sometimes, he might be discover not assignable or doesn’t work as expected also vendor is set.
Common Issues and Solutions
Almost all players who tried to assign the Vault-Tec Rep had some sort of bugs — either he cannot be assigned, or is not working as intended in settlement. Potential solutions include:
PC Console Commands: For those playing on PC, try using console commands to fix assignment problems.
Returning to Interactions: Occasionally, facing him in several places or relocating his position can reproduce the agreement status.
Community Forums: Out of game forums eg Reddit, GameFAQs etc where you might find players who faced the same problem or difficulty to fight Agrian/ Godlike Monstro/Tyrant titan.
