Guide: How to Comment on a GitHub Project
Follow the structured steps in order to effectively comment on a GitHub project:
Go to the Repository : the first step was opening a homepage of repository you want comment(ex, guide) For instance, if you are into Ruby on Rails project go to the main page of it.
Find the File: Navigate through to where your file is in a reponotificaciónsn. So say, you looking at the. click on gitignore file open it
Go to Commit History: Click on the “History” button in upper right corner of file view. You will then be able to list recent commits which touch that file.
Choosing a Commit: Browse the history and choose the commit on which you want to comment. Then you can click on the commit message or ID link to see details about it.
Commenting Options:
Use the Blame feature if you would still like to add feedback or ask questions on a specific line of code.github (ad) This makes it easy to know who changed every line and provide a way of doing comments in situ.
Otherwise, if you are making a comment regarding the changes introduced in a commit at large,feel free to leave your comments in the dedicated discussion of that particular commit.
