Step-by-Step Disassembly

Remove Rubber Plugs:

Find the four rubber plugs on the back side of your wine opener.

Then, carefully pop those all out with a pry tool without scratching the surrounding area of your vehicle.

Unscrew the Back Panel:

You should be able to remove some plugs and right there are four Phillips head screws.

Carefully unscrew them and keep the screws safe.

Separate the Halves:

Now the wine opener should open up into two halves once you remove those screws.

Carefully separate without tearing or breaking any internal pieces.

Access Internal Mechanism:

Once the opener is in halves you get your first glance at the corkscrew mechanism.

You may have to unscrew a few more screws that hold the parts of your corkscrew together.

Remove Corkscrew:

To replace or clean the corkscrew, you will need to undo it from its housing.

Reassembly:
