Granting Access to Your GitHub Repository

Allow other people to access your GitHub Repository If you want someone else use and see the content of your repository in github, just do these steps. To start, visit the home page of your repository. Click on Settings>

before the screen under your repository name.GitHub Access Management (ad) If you click the dropdown menu and do not see a Settings tab. On the left sidebar, click on Manage access You can invite collaborators by clicking on Invite a collaborator or add teams through Add Teams.

If you want to invite any collaborator then enter fellow’s GitHub username or email address in given search field. From here you will pick the user and grant them a role, which sets their level of access — read (reading), write (writing) or admin privileges. We should emphasise — only those with admin rights can administer access settings. This not only facilitates good collaborations but it also increases the security by controlling who all can view and edit your repository contents.
