Clean iPhone Charging Port with Toothpick
Use A Toothpick to Clean iPhone Charging Port
Clogged charging port with lint and debris: If the charging port on your iPhone is clogged with a bunch of yuck, it can also cause charging problems. You can use a toothpick to gently clean it:
First of all, sync your iPhone and shutdown it.
Try taking a flash light and checking the charging port to see exactly how much there is.
Insert a clean dry toothpick into the port and gently work it back and forth to dislodge any contaminate. Just be careful not to press too hard or push the toothpick inFirst Step 2.clean iphone charging port (ad)
Use dry cloth or a fresh toothpick to wipe off any debris that gets dislodged. Cotton swabs should NOT be used since the fibers can clog up in the port.
If necessary, blow a few short bursts of air from the can of compressed air in an upright position to remove any remaining bits of dust from the port.
After each of the steps, plug your iPhone in to see if the problem is solved. Otherwise, try the process again until you clear the port.
If the problem continues, bring your iPhone to an Apple service center for proper care.
Clean the port very carefully (as its connectors are fragile and can be damaged by an aggressive cleaning or using a wrong tool) It will scratch the internal parts of the toy. Many iPhone charging problems brink back from blocked ports2, and can be fixed with a careful hand wielding a toothpick.
