Preparation
Use a Leather Cleaner to Clean the Scratched Area
Use sharp scissors to trim any loose leather fibres.
Reinforce the hole or other damaged section with a leather binder, if available
Sanding and Filling
Gently sand the glued area using fine 1200 (or more) grit of sandpaper
Be gentle and go slow, your hair is fragile at this time
Using sand paper make a flat, smooth surface.
Use a Palette Knife to Apply Leather Filler into Deep Scratches
Let filler completely dry between successive thin layers
Recolouring and Finishing

Sponge on a thin coat of dye and let it dry.
Leather finish sealer to seal repair protections
You can repair shallow to moderate and even some deep cat scratches on leather if you have patience with the proper technique.
