Select “About”
Navigate to “Serial Number”
Be sure to either keep this screen open or write down the complete serial number.
Verifying the Serial Number
Once you have the serial number, check your coverage at Apple Official Coverage Checker.

Enter the serial number
Complete the CAPTCHA
Click “Continue”
Information will provide Device Model and also Warranty status if iPhone is original. An invalid serial number is a tell tale sign of a counterfeit device.
