For Post- Ulcer Surgery Diets After the ulcer surgery, you should have a plain diet and light in order to cure well, as your stomach will not tolerate much food. Preferred food groups for the post-operational stage :-

Drinks: Begin with liquids without any coloring like water, broth and natural teas. Slowly add in milky drinks such as milkshakes and smoothies.

Milk products: Include your low-fat selection like yogurt plus custard – they provide important protein without having putting pressure with a sore gastrointestinal system.

Canned Peaches: Opt for water-packed, unsweetened 100% peach preserves. Stay away from the citrus fruits and other more acidic ones.

Recovery: As the recovery proceeds, patients are gradually introduced to solid ingredients like pureed peas or finely cut meats such as mashed potatoes.

Hydration: Drink enough fluids to help prevent dehydration and assist with digestion.
