Methods of Repair
Manual Repair
If you want to do it yourself, you will need a similar copy of the weapon or armor that needs repairing. Follow these steps:
Access your Pip-Boy, then head to the inventory tab.
Choose the item you wish to repair.
Hold the appropriate button (R on PC, triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox) to repair.
Select an item from the list of duplicates on the left to use as a repair sacrifice.
Add the Repair Tools perk and this will improve your item condition quite well (depending on level of Repair skill and repair items used)(14).
2. Weapon Repair Kits
Weapon Repair Kits can also be put towards this, though they are weapon-specific. These kits can be discovered while you are out and about or built if you have a Repair skill level of 50 or more. How to make your kitRequirements

Once crafted a Weapon Repair Kit can be used to restore your weapon’s condition without needing extra12.
3. Vendor Repairs
Vendors will provide repair services if you opt out of doing so yourself. Some vendors will not be able to restore all of your things and have limited Repair skill. Notable vendors include:
Major Knight at Mojave Outpost (Repair skill maxed out
Raul Tejada (after being released), who is also good at fixing up objects
Vendor repairs: This could get costly quick, so be sure to budget accordingly11
Tips for Effective Repairs
Jury Rigging Perk: If you pick up this perk (with a 90 Repair skill) fixing items with roughly the same type (not identical) makes it easier to keep your gear13.
Unique Weapons Save your Weapon Repair Kits for Unique Weapons, as these are often harder to replace.Fallout New Vegas (ad)
