Boiling Water Technique
How to use it: boiled water, go fraying the brush for 3 seconds This will make the bristles pliable and easier to shape.
MY RESHAPING: Carefully smooth out the bristles with your fingers after you dip. If required, you can repeat the dip until desired outcome is reached.
Vinegar Soak
How: Heat vinegar to almost boiling, and let brush soak for 10 minutes. The acid helps to break down and dissolve dried paint.
Cleaning: Rinse with brush comb after soaking and rinse again with soap and water.
Sugar Water Solution
How to use: rinse clean and then soak in water with lots of sugar (and air dry it out properly afterwards) This method helps keep the bristles flexible and in perfect shape.
Deep Cleaning with Alcohol
Read: Rubbing Alcohol — This is useful for those brushes that are really caked in paint. Submerge the brush in alcohol for a while, then it rinse clean.
Warning: If using this on gentle brush hair, it may be too hard,… so test and see!
Preventive Care
All systems must be maintained regularly. Always clean brushes right after use then return them to their protective cases so the paint on it would not harden.
The best way to preserve the shape is by storing your brushes either upright or flat.
When using these methods, you can help your brushes clean up well and overall be nice to use in future projects.artist brushes (ad)
